V Life Cycle

Defintion

A software development life cycle that focuses on 'Verification' and 'Validation' (hence the name). Unlike a linear life cycle, the V-life cycle focuses on identifying the core requirements of the project and developing optimum solutions (the 'Verification' phase). Next, the created solutions are tested and requirements verified for completion (the 'Validation' phase) such that the life cycle follows a down-up, V-shaped curve.
